Some time we need to change our WordPress upload limit for media. We can do it in three ways….
- Editing Theme function file
- Create or Edit an existing PHP.INI file
- htaccess Method
Editing Theme function file
we just need to add this code to the theme file to change the upload limit….
@ini_set( ‘upload_max_size’ , ’64M’ );
@ini_set( ‘post_max_size’, ’64M’);
@ini_set( ‘max_execution_time’, ‘300’ );
Create or Edit an existing PHP.INI file
This is the code that will help you to change media upload limit using PHP.INI
upload_max_filesize = 64M
post_max_size = 64M
max_execution_time = 300
.htaccess file is located at your server root directory. You just need to open it on a text doc and at the bottom of it add this code…
php_value upload_max_filesize 64M
php_value post_max_size 64M
php_value max_execution_time 300
php_value max_input_time 300
In this three methods you will be able to increase your WordPress media upload limit easily.
